What Change?

A community theatre project taking place during Summer 2014, encouraging residents of Burnham & Highbridge to think about what change they can create to make their towns the best place to be.

Alongside The Whiteball Tunnel, What Change forms the other half of Word/Play Phase 3 exploring small positive changes that can be made within a community.

Launched on Saturday 12 July, What Change includes a wide programme of workshops this summer (just £2 each), including Theatre and Acting Skills; Writing; Poetry; Beach-writing; Graffiti; Songwriting; Digital & Social Media, and Public Speaking, as well as a Small Change Challenge. We gave £10 to nearly 100 different local people for them to create a small, but significant, change in Burnham & Highbridge.

As the summer progresses, we're beginning to hear what people have been up to. You can find out more here

We also look forward to seeing how everyone spent their £10 at the celebration event on 20 September. Until then, those who would still like to take part but couldn't make the launch, there are plenty of workshop activities to take part in this summer. Download a PDF of the Summer Activities Programme from the resources page.

This is a chance for adults and young people to join in a variety of friendly workshops run by a great bunch of creative people. You could enjoy:
• Writing poems, stories, plays
• Acting & drama
• Beachwriting
• Graffiti
• Songwriting
• Digital & Social Media
• Public Speaking

The cost of each workshop is just £2 (under 16s free). You can choose to get involved as an individual or as a family.
