A band of Spanish gypsy musicians invite you to their crazy party, to hear the entertaining and boisterous tale of their grandfather's burial. They are celebrating their grandfather by playing the music he loved during his life. These three men and one woman play drums, violins, guitars and saxophones. The music ranges from funereal to love songs, through classical to dance tunes. Music, theatre interaction and mayhem combine in this spectacular show for all the family. One of Spain's leading street theatre companies brings their award winning new work. Drawing on the universal language of theatre and inspired by Eastern European and gypsy music traditions, the actors and musicians are led by Ukrainian virtuoso violinist Teresa Polyvka. "If you go to one musical show, let this hidden gem be the one" Edinburgh Festival Reviewer. |
