Chime Child beautifully weaves together the story of a moonlight wish for a lover, songs from long ago and curious fragments of Somerset. Nationally renowned storyteller, Jane Flood, collaborates with Fiona Barrow, on fiddle, and Martin Solomon on harp, to awaken a wealth of stories and music hidden in the Somerset landscape. Chime Child is a new piece devised after a year long residency on the Blackdown Hills and is suitable for adults and anyone over the age of 8 yrs. "Stories and the landscape woven together brilliantly with music and song made it an evening never to forget." "This performance touched my dreams." "Chime Child showed me another side to my home county of Somerset, I was enchanted." Audience members. |
