James Hickman & Dan Cassidy are a newly formed transatlantic folk and roots duo. James provides the vocals and driving rhythm guitar while Dan brings his virtuosic fiddle playing to their wonderfully unique rendition of new and old folk music. Brought up in Shropshire on a diet of folk and bluegrass, James is a professional singer and guitarist and apart from his work with Dan, tours nationally and internationally with Hickman & Quinn and also folk group, Uiscedwr, winner of the BBC Radio 2 Young Folk Award. Dan, brother of the late Eva Cassidy, grew up in Maryland USA is also a professional musician. Based in Iceland, he works with folk/rock group Papar and regularly tours UK with The Dan Cassidy Swing Quartet. James & Dan toured on the Shropshire rural touring scheme last year where they were met with sold out shows and delighted audiences. "We had an audience ranging from 7-70 and a great time was had by all, come back soon!" Adforton Village Hall
