Paradise Lost (Lies Unopened Beside Me)

Lost Dog

One man tells the story of all men in an incredible piece of dance theatre that will glue you to your seat, wow your eyes and fill your belly with laughter.

Welcome to Lost Dog's staging of Milton’s epic Paradise Lost, which is so much more fun than the beginning of this sentence has managed to convey. It's a show for those who love theatre, comedy and dance. It's a show for anyone who has created anything (child, garden, paper aeroplane) and then watched it spiral out of control.

Paradise Lost (Lies Unopened Beside Me) is a journey through the Story of Creation, beginning with Lucifer’s rebellion and ending with Adam and Eve’s expulsion from the Garden of Eden. The whole thing is condensed into 75 mins. Yes it is possible.

What is remarkable about the show is that one man plays all the characters, creates all the scenes and keeps the audience gripped throughout.

If you are new to Lost Dog Dance, Ben Duke is a mesmerising performer, charming and hugely talented. His recreation of Paradise Lost is a tour de force and an amazing piece of dance theatre comedy.
