Made in Somerset is a biennial event celebrating local work, providing an opportunity to network and encourage debate. You will enjoy a warm welcome, some great new work, an opportunity to meet other people working in the are and debate the future of theatre in a rural context with delicious food, all in a relaxing atmosphere.

Wednesday
Practice – a platform for emerging artists to present experimental performance ideas and enter into a dialogue about the work with the audience. Curated by TheatreWorks, Salisbury Arts Centre and Take Art.
Thursday
Showcase - a chance to see a wide range of work from some of the best Somerset dance & theatre companies, as well as exciting work that has been commissioned by venues and organisations in the county. This will include tour-ready shows, work-in-progress, presentations & films.
Friday
Theatre & Performance Symposium – an opportunity to listen, discuss and debate innovative approaches to performance. In this challenging climate, join us in a creative conversation exploring how artists, producers and venues might collaborate in more dynamic and creative ways.
Speakers: Emma Stenning, newly appointed Executive Director at Bristol Old Vic and Sjoerd Wagenaar from Netherlands based PeerGrouP, specialists in site specific theatre and engaging rural communities.
Review – facilitated artist-to-artist discussions including feedback on the work presented and ideas raised from the morning symposium.
