| Rod is a professional sculptor experienced in working with children and teachers/other staff, and as an artist in residence in a nursery school. Other work includes public sculpture commissions and professional development training. |

| The focus of the workshops is the exploration of the creative process and imagination through large-scale clay and mixed media work in ways appropriate to the children and staff. It may result in the satisfaction of simply bashing a very large squashy lump of clay or the creation of the Eiffel Tower complete with King Kong! Playing with clay is unpredictable and can provide unexpected benefits in communication and concentration skills. Everyone is encouraged to take part. Workshops are flexible and can accommodate specific needs in terms of expected and realistic outcomes. |
