  The Project

We offered a concentrated creative experience over a term at two primary schools in South Somerset

At St Nicholas CoE Primary School in  Henstridge, a whole day was dedicated to creative activity - in the morning clay artist Rod Harris worked with all the children round a long table and in the afternoon, dance artists (a combination of Anna Brown, Annabelle MacFadyen and Claire Hill) explored creative movement, drawing on some of the themes thrown up in response to the clay.

At Manor Court in Chard, Anna Brown and Claire Hill and film maker Richard Tomlinson worked during the afternoon and journeyed with the children to explore shadow, shapes and movement.

There was plenty of opportunity for reflection as meetings took place with artists and teachers in the middle and end of each session, with the work constantly developing in response to the children's enthusiasms.
