Kindling is a training project that aims to build partnerships between Arts and Cultural organisations and the Early Years Sector by developing creative and critical excellence for Somerset's under 5s and by sharing our experiences at a national level.
Professional development across the South West
Set up as part of an earlyarts pathfinder initiative in the South West, Kindling offers professional development days and networking for those working in the cultural, Early Years, family, health and social care sectors.
Somerset Arts Promoters are working with Kindling to develop a programme of Early Years creativity training opportunities for Early Years practitioners, artists and cultural organisations.
The earlyarts South West pathfinder includes: Departure in Dorset, DAISI in Devon, 5x5x5=Creativity in Bath and Kindling Somerset. Nationally the earlyarts network provides a range of resources to develop the appropriate skill set for building creative learning environments and to embed a playful learning culture.
