Last Autumn Take Art worked in collaboration with Yeovil Children’s Centres and the Octagon Theatre to bring you the third ever International KinderGardens Festival.
The 2012 KinderGardens Festival was generously funded by Arts Council England and Guildford Academic Associates. It took place in venues across Somerset from the 29 Oct to 14 Nov 2012, jam-packed with high quality early years events, including shows, interactive installations, showcases and discussions across the county, with plenty of chances for children, early years practitioners and artists to see great work.
The project enlisted national and international European theatrical companies whose pieces, directed specifically at toddler and pre-verbal age groups, were aimed to assist learning development through music, dance and movement. A rare initiative designed to enrich pre-school education for the very young.
The quality, diversity and originality of the festival was at an all time high and we worked hard to find some of the most exciting shows for under 5s currently available in Europe.
